I remember the first models i made i tried to keep below 200 k. I have gradually been pushing that, and they keep getting accepted. The Nightmare Chicken Factory is going to test the limits I think – it's got images that are much less compressed, and there are plenty of polygons. In this post I show the final touches, as I replace placeholder art with photos of actual surface.

The point of a 3D model is to experience it in space, to explore it and see it from all sides. I fussed a lot trying to get images that show off the detail, but there is not one angle that gets it all in the shot. I'm going to clean this up and submit it. The Nightmare may be over.
