Lots of people know Google Earth is amazing— like many applications there is depth that people can be unaware of. In GE, there is a feature called the 3D Buildings Layer. When this is demonstrated, it will fully blow your mind, to try it yourself there is a 3D space control that takes some patience to master, but soon you can zoom up and down the streets in a pretty convincing and super interesting simulation, just as easy as you'd spin a globe.
GE is an application you need  to download, if you haven't already, so first you should just check that out and get the mind blowing over with.
